Saras claim is that it is important to do a variety of things to get women, such as burgers, cable, smells, etc.
Her support is from being a women she, of course, knows what they like and dont like. She states in the commecials things that will get you "hot women" rather than "regular women".

In class: free write: topics for essay 4
I wish I didnt:
Have to get up so early.
Go to football practice after class.
Have a roomate.
Have to share a bathroom with 3 other people.
Have mandatory study hall for 8 hours a week.
Have to wake up and sign in 30 minutes before my first class.
I wish could have a bigger bed in my room rather than the twin the already have there.
The things werent so expensive on campus like in 1873, the union grounds, ect.
I wish that TCU police wouldnt give as many tickets for dumb stuff like parking.
Arguements that usually occur:
why tcu only only gives grants to people whose parents are poor, yet we all live here and dont all get help from our parents.
topic i migth use: TCU police giving parking tickets. This is something that occurs very often for me. I have gotten 5 parking tickets since i moved here in June. Its not jsut that I am iggnorant and think I can park whereever I want, you must realize that 4 of these tickets where broken into 2 consecutive days, and then in another 2 consecutive days. I understand that it might have been nessesary to give me a ticket for parking in the sophomore lot but is it really needed for so many. The cops clearly seen i had already gotten a ticket. Before i even got the chance to see my vehicle they gave another one. Some people might disagree but this i feel is a bit rediculous. I feel like it is pointless to have an athlete like myself have his whole college paid for by TCU and then they turn around and charge me hundreds of dollars for parking stickers and tickets for when I park in the wrong lot for a day or two. I understand it is needed that the TCU police inforce the parking rules. I dont think that as an athlete i should have special parking prevliges. That is not an option, but they need to understand individual needs.

rhetorical response: the second amendment.
The second amendment is something that has been argued about for many years. Everyone has their own points of view on the situation and what they think about this particular amendment. Well, my point of view is that we should have the right to bear arms. I think I is crazy to even think that making it illegal will help anything. Just take a look around and see illegal things being done time and time again. It is illegal to smoke weed, yet in almost every city and many neighbor hoods you can buy and sell weed. With that in mind, I think that guns would be the same. You can not stop people from buying things illegally, but what you can do is allow people to get license to carry a concealed weapon to protect themselves from those who carry guns illegally. Many people think that making guns illegal will help with the crime rate. Well, you have to think of it in different perspectives if you think about this. I say that because if you take away guns don’t you think the death rate from knifes and other weapons go up? And if so, then what? Should we then take away knifes? Don’t get me wrong, I understand how many people think that guns create problems. But where are the problems coming from? I believe that the problem is on the streets where people carry weapons illegally. If these people are having the weapons illegally then how would the laws change anything? I know many people who carry around a concealed weapons who are very good people. They carry around a weapon not to show it off or for any other reason but only to protect themselves if ever needed. I think that is a very good thing that the United States allows people to do things like that to protect themselves. It is very necessary that people can feel safe when walking around and just out in the city. I actually own a few guns. I do not have a concealed weapon, but I do own some shotguns and my dad owns multiple deer rifles and shotguns. So I do in fact have experience with guns. I love to hunt for deer and dove and just sometimes shoot at targets. When growing up with a family that has weapons, of course when there is a subject on guns I can talk from knowledge so I feel this helps when discussing certain subjects like this. But, this is not the only reason I think we should have the right to bear arms. It is not just because I grew up around them. I actually truly believe we need them in this country. From hearing about the second amendment from other people and their sides of the argument I usually notice that the people who agree with making it illegal to bear arms are the people who do not have concealed weapons. And I would think that all the people who carry a weapon would have the exact opposite feelings about the amendment. So I have come to the conclusion that I think the people who do not have concealed weapons must not feel the need for them. This can be for many reasons. They might have never felt the need for that type of protection. But, if a person that wants weapons to be illegal was held at gun point by a stranger and almost killed was later asked the question whether they think it is good to have a concealed weapon then the answer might now be different. Therefore I believe that everyone has different feelings towards this subject. It many differ from everyone. Whether you feel the need for a weapon because of something in the past or for some other reason or you feel that guns should be illegal it is a personal choice. It will be argued for quite some time before a decision is made and I am looking forward to seeing what decision is made and the outcomes of it.

Rhetorical response for Home Girl
There was many things that I liked about this essay. I didnt think it was going to be a very good story at first but after getting into it and after reading it I found it to be pretty interesting. One thing that I liked about Erykah. She is famous for singing, yet she wanted to be a normal person living a normal life. I found this kind of odd at first because usually people want to be famous so they can get all the attention and glory from fan and people. But, in this case Erykah Badu just was famous because she did what she loved to do. In the story it mentions that music is not even the most important thing in her life. She says that yes, it does make money but she actually loves to do things like raise her kids. I think that alot of famous might be able to relate to what she says. It seems like for the most part, after becoming famous, famous people just want to be normal and have regular lives. Well that is exactly what this home-town Dallas girl is doing. She get to do what everyone dreams of. Making a lot of money and being famous yet she wants to just have a normal life. The narrator did a good job on this story. For example the story is about Erykah Badu. It is not about the things she has accomplished or the songs or albums she sings. It is about her life and what she likes to do and how she acts at home. Another example of how the narrator also did this when he was talking about the grammy's that Erykah had won. It had not even mentioned the grammys but for only a brief moment. Although it was such a big accomplishment in her life in the story it had only said very little about it. The author also did a good job in other areas of the story. He didnt spend too much time on details that were not nessasary. We had talked about this in class today. It was one of the things that we looked for and talked about in the story along with how the author stayed more focused on her rather than the things she has done witch was also talked about in class. Back to having good detail, we talked about not putting useless and unmeaningful things into the story. Everything should relate back to the main purpose. Another thing that we talked about in class is having info that you can tell that there was an interview or resource other than observation. In the story it talked about how she dressed at home and what she was doing in particular cases in her house and so on. Well, this gives good descrition to the reader in many ways. The reader can tell that the narrator has talked to Eyrkah in an interview of some way or another. As talked about in class, that is also an important thing to do. In conslusion, I thought this was a good reading and that the narrator did a real good job on organizing the information and staying on point and overall writing a good story. I really enjoyed it.

I liked this essay. I was a reallly interesting reading. There were several things that I liked about this story. One thing I liked is that she doesnt reallylike to be famous. It is cool that she just wants to be a regular person. The story it talks about how she just likes to do regular things like go to the store for milk. I think that is real interesting because usually people would want to be famous. I liked how she just is famous because she does things she likes to do and music isnt her favorite thing to do. Just a home-town girl from Dallas.

I think that this image is very aggressive. It looks like the giant ape is very strong and can overpower other people and animals. It looks like people are amazed when seeing this animal. I feel like I would agree and have to say that I would also be amazed by seeing something like this giant animal. It looks like a cover to a book or movie. Witch I already know it is. The ape looks like he is protecting the woman he is holding. I feel like the animal is not normal in that sence if it can have feelings like that.
The story that this picture is telling me is that animals are different than we think. The ape in the picture is holding a woman. He is protecting her from something. She is not scared of him but the other people are so it must be protecting her from other people. The people in the movie thought that they could do what they want and kill him easily. He showed that he cared for her and protected her with his own life.
The colors in this picture makes it seem like it there is a happy sence in the place until this giant ape came along and ruined it. As if there was a town of happyness and joy and the giant ape came and took over.
I can tell that this image was create many many years ago because of how the people look in the picture and the whole image and the colors it consist of. A picture like this would not be created now a days. It doesnt look very real.
The image is trying to make me feel like bad things like this can happen in the city. In the background there is a big city with big buildings.

In Class: free write on authority list
x-box 360
playing football
cleaning- around the house
track-shotput and discus
cooking- baking
driving cars
talking to new people
playing board games
sleeping
swimming
These are some of the things that I feel that I have an authority on. Things such as cooking and driving cars are some things that I, of course, learned from my parents. Just watching my parents and family members so little things like cook and drive everyday I caught on very quickly. Now those are a couple things that alot of people are pretty good at and know how to do. A few things that I also have an authority on include, swimming, track and field, and playing xbox 360. These are things that I didn't have to learn from someone else to get better in. I initially learned how to do these things but my love of doing these things is what got me so far. People that first taught me how to swim we my mom and dad. My coach in high school, Will McNeil, taught me how to throw shot put and discus. Some of my friends, witch include Hunter, and Kameron got me into playing xbox 360, but I ultimitly taught myself how to play.
In this I included:
Mom, Marti
Dad, David
friends, Hunter and Kameron
coach, Will Mcneil
Will McNeil is one of my coaches from high school. Over my four years of high school he taught me many different things. Not only did this coach teach me about sports but, he also taught me important lessons in life. Other than learning from him in a personal sence, he taught me how to do better in football, and track. These are both things that I love to do. Learning how to be a good football player helped me save alot of money by recieving a scholorship in college. He was not only a coach to me but somewhat a friend. I enjoyed his company and talking with him as I still keep in touch with him even while I am in college.

In Class: Free write on essay 2
I have completed my second draft of essay two. I will still be needing to make a few changes on the essay. I have to add another source into my paper to have all five sources that are needed. I think that the essay is a pretty good one, but I don't think that this essay is my best. I enjoyed doing a little research after writing the personal narrative on the last essay.

How much, if any, particular drugs like weed actually affect you. Well I thought about this because people usually seem to argue over whether some things are harmful and some things arent. I was actually curious also about this same thing.
Do all drugs affect the human body?
I am not really sure how much it affects you. I know that the statistics probably show that it does brain damage and more, but I am not sure if this damage happens to everyone.
Being able to answer this question can be helpful by informing me of the facts about how much drugs like weed can actually affect someone. It can also help me because when someone tells me that weed is not bad for you, like I hear all the time, I will be able to tell them what I actually know about this topic.

Today has been a good day today so far. I woke up around seven this morning. Considering all the football players have to sign in 30 minutes before thier first class, I walked to the athletic building to sign in. After signing in, I began to walk towards class. I was only able to do this for a few minutes until I caught the shuttle. I wanted to catch the shuttle mostly because my legs hurt from working out yesterday in the weight room. Therefore, I am glad that I didn't have to walk to class today.

One thing i am worried about concerning the essay is that im not really sure what to write about. I was thinking about writing about an incident where i got into trouble with a friend, and how that effected me now. I am still not real sure though. Another thing is the length. I am usually not too good at writing long essays and often find myself trying to just come up with extra sentences for the essay. These sentences usually dont fit and flow too smoothly throughout the story. I dont really have any questions concerning the essay.

In class:
Well I want the football season to start already. All of us players have such a busy schedule. Once the season starts football practice wont be so long and we wont have to practice every single day. With that being said, I am also ready for my sophomore year here at tcu. I feel like this whole freshman thing is getting kind of old. Freshman are required to do alot of extra meetings and things like that. Plus next year I will be more experienced not only on the football field but also in class. If college is anything like high school, then the older you are the funner it seems to be. So I imagine that being a senior here will most likely be alot of fun. Another thing that I am looking forward to is moving off campus. Right now I am living in Mocrief Hall. I share a room as of right now. I dont really like it. I cant really go to sleep when i want and my roomate is always on the phone. So i think that living off camus in my own apartment will be alot better.

Rhetorical Blog of the biography of Blake Stone
The biography was a very interesting reading. The author is good at grabbing the reader’s attention. I thought the story was interesting yet a little weird. I thought that the fact that a little kid would get on the internet late at night to talk about dancing, kissing, and more is weird. This definitely makes you think of how the internet can be full of false information. Things such as people acting like someone else can be very dangerous. Especially when the time comes to meet friends off the internet or chat rooms. People can get harmed or even killed doing things like that. I agreed and also disagreed with some of the things that were in this reading. The fact that a young boy was allowed to have unlimited access to the internet and left alone almost every day with his grandma I disagree with. I understand that the kids parents needed some time alone to do activities and go out to eat alone, but every day is not necessary. I would not be surprised how many young people might do this every day to get away from their daily lives. I think that the author tried to create the message to people that it is important to just be yourself. I think that the author did a good job being able to use both the kid’s life and the made-up character to show meaningful lessons about life. The author shows that things such as a little internet exploring or little things like this can end up being life-long lessons in life. The boy was just trying to have something fun to do on his spare time and eventually led to more than a friendly conversation. The young boy in the story soon understood that being someone else is not very important. I can somewhat relate to how the kid in the story wanted to somewhat get away from his daily life in middle school. The reason I think I can relate to this is because I know how sometimes doing the same things everyday for a long period of time can get boring. I think everyone has some way to get away from these boring times. For everyone it could be different things. For example, I like to get away from my daily life by going home and playing video games or just relaxing and lying down. In the biography of Blake Stone the young boy simply liked to do the same and get away from his daily life. His way of getting away is just by acting as if he were someone else. The guy he created online was just an average twenty-two year old guy who was attending college. This story did actually keep my entertained. The kids conversations with the other people kept me entertained. I personally never really used chat rooms and meeting people online to get away from my life. Although I have seen people and friends use chat rooms to just have friendly conversations with other people that they knew. Therefore I kind of understand how the young boy became attached to these chat rooms. This story can teach me a lesson not to try to be someone else that I am not. In the end the young boy realized that he wasn’t doing the right thing. He stated that he needed to focus on more important things. In my opinion, this was probably the most important part of the story. It shows that the moral of the story is that the boy learned a lesson. I think that the boy learned that he doesn’t need to be someone else to get noticed. The boy I think realized that it is not important what other people think about him. Like the young boy in the story, I completely agree. I also think that it is not important what other people think of me. I believe this is why the boy stopped getting online to talk to these new people that he met is because he realized that only his opinion is the important one. I think that the author tries to show other people what a young kid in middle school might often go through. I don’t think that the young boy in this particular story is not much different then what a lot kids happen to go through. Like I said earlier, everybody usually has certain things they do to get away from their daily lives. I think that this was a good reading and that it shows a very valuable lesson in life.

I became an authority on shotput and discus by simply liking the sport so much. I started my sophomore year throwing shotput and discus for my high school. I caught on very quickly and started to excel. My very first year being in track and participating in shotput and discus I won district and went to regionals. I learned more about the sport more and more as the year went on, and even after the year ended. I went to personal track lessons during the summer and into my junior year of high school. I believe this is probably the time I created an authority for this sport. Just because of the fact that I knew so much about the technique and how to do it well. It felt as if I didn't even need a coach anymore. I kept getting better at track and eventually attended the state track meet and got 2nd place under the best in the state.

Writing as inquiry is a way to write to find out things rather than writing about things you know. Being able to ask yourself questions while your writing is important. I think being able to write as inquiry is a pretty hard thing to do. Well as of right now I do, but I'm sure I will eventually catch on to how to do this very well. I think that writing as inquiry is also a way to express things you might feel about a certain reading. You can type about the things you thought about when you read something.

About me.
Hey, my name is DJ Yendrey. I am from a little town in south Texas called Edna. I am a freshman here at TCU. I am also on the football team. College football is what i have wanted to do all throughout high school, so i am pretty excited about playing here. I am pre-major as of right now, but I am thinking about trying to major in something to do with sports. I enrolled in this class because the football academic advisor told me I needed to take this. I hope to learn to write better papers as i go through this course so it can help me later in my college cereer. I stay in Moncrief hall right now. It's pretty cool so far. I am looking forward to rest of the year. It seems like it is going to be alot of fun. Well thats about all, but if you want to know anything else about me.... just ask.
